Despite car trouble, we reached the trailhead slightly after 10:30. This is the view from the top of the Canyon near the Kibab trailhead. This is where we started down. There were multiple signs on the way down discouraging hikers from attempting to hike to the bottom and back in one day, which only encouraged us. Having said that, it is a difficult hike that you should not attempt unless you are in shape for it.
